I hate Prius people

Maybe hate is a strong word, but damn do they bug me. I think they are the new crappy drivers on the road. And I think they are also a bit of why liberals can be so annoying. Here is why I don't like 'em:

1. Sure they are using less fuel, and that is great, but should they really have the ability to drive on the highway ALONE in the carpool lane? Isn't that negating the spirit of the carpool lane? Prius drivers should want to get more people OFF the road, right?

2. They get a tax break for buying a new car. What about the folks on the bus? Where is their tax break? (this point is stolen from my friend, M, who shares my feelings) Basically this is rewarding people who can afford a new $20K+ car. I ride my bike whenever I can and prior to May had shared a car with Tommy for 5 years. He took the bus to work and I walked or rode whenever possible. Granted we shared an old SUV, but we drove it about once a week. Are we not deserving of getting a tax break?

3.They have a superior air about them. They drive like A-holes and give the stink eye to other, less PC cars.

4. These are probably the same people who fly around the country, if not the world. What about that footprint? Isn't flying super bad for global warming?

5. I sort of think it is a bit of a marketing scam. Since I don't like to do actual research, I am basing this on what a good friend has told me, basically that the Prius mainly uses gas, not the battery.

I hate MEN who drive the Prius.

Can we just say...WI-IMPS!

I'm sure that in addition to (wimpily) driving their little electric car, they're also fond of architectural glasses, loose fitting clothing and Camper shoes.

Wimps! Ewwww!

Hi Prius People Hater,

I have a 1989 Ford F150 and a 2006 Prius. I bought the Prius so that I could afford the 45 mile commute to work. I live on a dirt road in the farmland of Nebraska and have found that the vehicle stability control works great and with snow tires it gets around really well in the winter.

I get 50 mpg and drive it just like I drive my truck. I paid $24,500 for it and with the tax breaks that ended up costing me $21,000.

Do you hate me when I'm driving my Prius, but not when I'm driving my Ford F150?

Prius driver haters,

I have a 1989 Ford F150 and a 2006 Prius. I am a regular person who lives on a dirt road in Nebraska. The Prius freed me from worrying so much about gas prices for my 45 mile commute to work. I get 50 mpg and have found that the vehicle stability control is great and with snow tires it handles really well in the winter.

I drive both vehicles and same, with the only difference of not being able to afford using the F150 very frequently due to gas prices. My Prius cost $24,500 and with the tax rebate my final cost was $21,000.

Do you hate me and have preconceived notions about me when I drive my Prius but not when I drive my truck?

Hate me if you want, but I drive a Prius because it is a damn awesome car. They are not slow, have plenty of room and I'm getting 47 MPG. If you think diesel is the way to go, I hope you're burning bio diesel, regular diesel has a terrible carbon foot print.

To KK and Jenn and other brainless idiots who act like the sh*t behind the safety and anonymity of cyberspace...

I drive a Prius...I'm 6'0"; 210 lbs and I'll kick your ass in or out of my car all day long and twice on Sunday...

FYI the reason people like me buy the Prius is
1) It's a Toyota; stupid-ass.
2) It gets 45-50 miles to the gallon; dumb and dumber asses.

I have a 1985 Toyota Pick-up work truck I use for my rental properties that I do my own repairs on. It looks like crap but gets the job done...

The real prissy "wimps" are the ones like here in Albuquerque that drive brand, new fancy pick-ups with leather seats and all that crap, that never use the bed for anything and fuss over getting it dirty. Like my girlfriend says, men who drive big ass pick-ups are usually compensating for something they lack...

And I can do 80 plus on the freeway when I need to, but I usually drive the standard 5mph over the limit...

So, take your ignoramous uneducated opinions and shove it where the sun don't shine!

Wow, it seems like the more civil and intelligent people buy Priuses, and have actual experience and facts, while the other side just spout opinions.
